Frequently-used appliances are prone to wear and tear. Here are some common fridge issues:
Refrigerator is not cooling
Insufficient cooling could be caused by a few factors: The fridge may have dirty condenser coils restricting heat dissipation; it may be a malfunctioning condenser fan that’s preventing proper air circulation and cooling, or a faulty thermostat that isn’t signaling the compressor to cool the refrigerator properly.
Refrigerator is cooling excessively
If the temperature inside the fridge is uncommonly cold, the thermostat might be set too low, causing the refrigerator to cool excessively. It might also have faulty temperature sensors or control boards that can lead to improper temperature regulation.
Fridge is making louder-than-usual noise
If the refrigerator is making loud noises rather than a soft hum, the compressor may need repairing or replacing. The noise may also be caused by loose or worn-out components, such as a malfunctioning evaporator fan motor.
Fridge is leaking water
If the defrost drain gets blocked, water from the defrost cycle can accumulate and leak. Cleaning the system could solve the issue. However, it may also be a faulty water inlet valve causing the leak, or a defective door gasket.
Fridge has door seal problems
Over time, the door gasket may become worn or damaged, leading to air leaks and decreased cooling efficiency. Misalignment of the refrigerator doors can also sometimes cause the gaskets to lose their seal, allowing warm air to enter.
Fridge has power-related issues
Power interruptions and unstable electric supply can cause a malfunctioning refrigerator. Defective power cords or outlets may also disrupt the electrical connection to the refrigerator.

Frequently asked questions

Sure! Ring us on 718-376-2288 where our friendly team will do their best to help out.
We still recommend an in-person inspection of your appliance to get an accurate diagnosis.
How soon can I expect the repair?
We offer same-day and next-day visits. Tell us the date and time of your preferred visit and we will send you a 3-hour window when the technician is due to arrive.
How long do repairs take?
Repairs can take anywhere from an hour to a few hours, depending on whether parts need replacing, how easy or difficult it is to locate faulty parts, and whether the appliance needs dismantling and reassembly.
To help us complete the job faster you may prepare useful documents such as the appliance manual, brand model and serial number, and warranty information. You can also make the appliance easily accessible by clearing the space around it.
What fees can I expect for your services?
